(about 1994)
We came with promises
None we couldn't keep
about who we are
what we would do
all we could ever be.
I look inside
no memory
about who I am
what I will do
All I will ever be.
I will know someday
when all is said and done
yet what about today?
Still, who am I to say?
So I kneel to pray
I see a crown of thorns
A body bent and torn
A mission perfectly fulfilled
Of Mercy, Hope and Grace
I see His smiling face.
