Dreaming

I dream we are making love

Your touch soft and so gentle

Like I am porcelain

So very slow and patient

Holding me close

My waist, my hip

The small of my back

Stroking my hair

Slowly, slowly

Tilting my chin to look in your eyes

To see your smiling, open love

And you seeing me

Kisses to my forehead

My eyes, my cheeks

My neck

The side of my mouth

At my temple you speak low

Saying the words you love me

You need me

Dilineating all the ways and whys

Kind words

Words of gratitude

I know they come with a price

For you it is difficult

Too vulnerable

To say words

But you do it for me

Because you know

Your words feed me

Move my energy

From outside in

And down, down

My heart opens

I make it worth it

You know I am yours

But still you ask

Permission

In low tones

We make small sounds

In the quiet

I shed tears I've been waiting

My whole life to cry

The good kind

I've always felt this love

From God

But I've longed for it

From you

You

Am I dreaming?
