I posted this on my personal blog, but thought it would be fun to post here. CURRENT EVENTS are great!
I want to read The 5000-year Leap to my kids and soon!
Yesterday, across the U.S. there were several Tea Parties held. These tea parties were quite possibly the most important event, as far as political current events go, that I have witnessed in my lifetime. There is a voice in America, and though she has perhaps been silent for too long, she is determined to be heard. It is the same voice that spoke out at the first "Boston Tea Party." The same voice that has kept America strong, and the only voice, I am convinced, who can still save her. It is the voice of personal faith, love, hope and obedience to God. Those of us who give America that voice must continue to do so by the personal decisions we make, to have morals and values, to put God and family first, to work hard for what we have, to trust God, and to remember that WE Are THE PEOPLE; they work for us, and we can fire them!
I think in years to come, I will wish I would have bought an airline ticket to Texas and made a point of being there... at the Alamo, to say "I was there." It's a lot better than: I watched it on TV!

Things have definitely gone crazy out of whack with America's politicians. This is not a Donkey or an Elephant speaking, just a concerned citizen with at least half a brain (I think my 5 kids took the other half).
